8 YEARS IN CANADA

Yes, I'm already 8 years here in Canada. I left in my home in Philippines January 25, 2004 at 4:00 in the morning(Philippines Time) and I arrived in Vancouver International Airport January 25, 2004 in the afternoon (Vancouver Time). Hubby was there in Vancouver Airport just to pick me up. Then we flew after few hours going Quebec where we live :-) We arrived in Montreal January 26, 2004 (Quebec Time) that means, tomorrow will be my 8 years here in Quebec hihihi. I can't imagine that I'm already 8 years here. I thought that it was only yesterday.

I remember very well on the day I left my homeland. My dad and mom woke up so early and prepared some foods to eat and of course they also wanted to talk to me and be there when I will leave. My sister and my nephew was there too and my nephew was not happy seeing me leaving our house. I felt so pity to him and to my family. My heart broke seeing them when I left. I don't want to leave them but I have to. I need to stay with my husband, my family. Even though I have my own family here, they are still my family.

Well, I miss my family in Philippines so badly now. I was planning to visit them this summer but I've change my mind. I just bought a property in Philippines and I wanted to work hard for that project of mine. It's my own project, not a conjoint project. Hubby wanted to help me but I refused. I wanted to do this by myself. I will only ask help to my hubby if I really need. Just now that I'm still working and with more hours, I guess I can pay my project before 2 years :-)

So, I guess I have to go now..CHEERS TO ME :-)

CHRISTMAS DECORS NO MORE

I just finish taking off my christmas decor today. It took me a while to take them off because we still have a late holiday supper last Monday. Then I was not able to find time after because of my fulltime job.

I was not feeling well yesterday so I asked my boss if I can only work half day. I was so lucky because he found somebody to replace me in the afternoon and today :-)

I was feeling good this morning so I asked hubby to help my taking off all the christmas decor. I could do it alone but all the wooden boxes where we gonna put all the decors were all in the basement. I can't take them all by myself that's why I asked him to help me. As you can see in the photo, we have 3 wooden boxes but because we always bought lighted houses every year for my christmas village, 3 boxes were not enough. Hubby needs to empty one of his 8 boxes (same boxes in the photo) so that I can put all my christmas decors and it will be ready for next christmas.

I started 10:00 in the morning and I finished 6:00 at night. Hubby was cleaning his workshop while I was working with my christmas decor. We had a very big day today but after all, everything is in place and we can relax tomorrow.

I'm so happy in my productive day :-)

WELCOME 2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I suppose to write an entry yesterday as a start of the year 2012 but too sad that I was not able. We celebrated New Year's Eve at my friend's place with all my Filipino friends. We wanted to stay there until 4:30 in the morning but we decided to leave 1:30 am because we had family supper the next day (Jan 1). I never prepared anything for the supper and still have to do some cleaning. I'm so thankful with my two friends who gave me a hand last night. Fortunately, the party was a success.

First time it happen here that we had karaoke with Hubby's family. It's been a while that I wanted to have it with them but I'm so afraid that they will not enjoy it. They really had fun with the karaoke last night. None of them sings good and that gives us so much fun and they really want to do it again :-) I really didn't expect that they will enjoy it. Good to know:-)

Un de mes amis possède une entreprise de camionnage et a fait installé un système de vidéo surveillance. Quelques mois plus tard, il a été victime de vol d'une pièce de machinerie importante sur le terrain extérieur de son entreprise. Grâce à la video surveillance qu'il avait fait installer, il a pu relever le numéro de plaque du camion léger du voleur. Le service de police local a pu identifier le voleur grace celà et mon ami a été capable de poursuivre le voleur en court et de se faire payer la perte de pièce de machinerie. La vidéo surveillance... tout un outil de protection...

AUNT MISSING DUE TO THE SEVERE FLOODING

I guess most of my fellow bloggers are aware of what happen to Cagayan de Oro City yesterday. There was a severe flooding and unfortunate, my auntie's family are one of the victim. My auntie is still missing until now and my two cousins are seriously injured and one of them needs to have a major operation that will cost 300k pesos. This must be the saddest christmas we have but we didn't lose hope that we can find my auntie alive and we can celebrate christmas with a relief in our hearts.

Pls help us through prayers that we can find my auntie :-( thanks and merry christmas to all..

FREEZING RAIN

We have freezing rain just now. Oh boy! I hate it. I almost had an accident last week while driving to work. It was snowing and the road was so slippery. Hubby told me to use the 4 wheels drive but I didn't coz I thought it was okey. Good thing I was able to control the stirring wheel.

I told hubby a while ago to just drop me at work instead of driving coz I'm so afraid now but I don't want. He wanted me to drive carefully ...it's a good practice ..well, goodluck to me :-)

EUROPE VACATION

We will be celebrating our 10^th year wedding anniversary two year from now. We were planning to spend that special day in Hong Kong where we first met and got married. We will stay in the same hotel and in the same room. Sound cool, isn’t it? We wanted to go back on the first day we met until we got married. Visit to the places where we been before and of course spend time visiting places that we never been. I’m so looking forward to this day but hubby’s family can’t spend time with us. They wanted to but they found it too far which is really true. Maybe some of my family can celebrate with us since it’s only 2 hours by plane from where we live to Hong Kong.

We really wanted to have hubby’s family with us so we plan to have a trip in France. I guess it’s a good idea since it’s my childhood dream to visit Paris. The whole family is going and so with my in-laws. We’ve checked the hotel and it cost us a fortune if we will stay in there. My sister-in-law suggested staying in a fully furnished apartment where we can have room for everyone. We’ve checked the vacation rentals paris and we found a very affordable price in a very spacious apartment. Everything is perfect for all of us.

If you plan to stay for a week or two in France, try to check the vacation rentals paris for a place to stay. You can save some money and enjoy the vacation to the max.

OUR LITTLE BAR

Finally, the bar in our basement is already finish. It took us a while to finish the whole basement because as I said in my previous entry, it's only hubby doing it with my help. He's not a professional carpenter but he can do carpenting job just in our house. I'm so lucky to have him because everytime I want something that needs carpenting, he will do it and I don't need to pay :-)

It took us 8 months to finish the basement with the bar. There are still little touch up to do but it can stay like the way it is until January. What is important now is we can have my early christmas party with my Filipino friends this coming Dec 3.

I made the design of the bar and hubby made it to reality. We are so happy with the outcome of our project. Honestly, I really like our bar. We did all the frame of the cap-board and the counter. The glass under the counter is the glass from the old shower that hubby had many years ago. It was in the basement so I told hubby why not use it and save $200.

We tried to clean the glass and take some of the soap scum. We put some cleaning stuff and we were able to get rid of the soap scum. We were so happy that we were able to reuse it.

As you can see, the lights of the two photos are different. It's because the lights change color depending on how you program the system. Hubby paid $300 just for the lights. I didn't expect he will spend that much just for the lights. It was really my plan to have a light like that but I didn't ask him because I know it's to way expensive and he already spent more than $10, 000 for the basement repair. But I was so happy when he told me that he already order the lights with remote control.

All in all, I love my basement :-) I call it my basement because it's me who spend more time in the basement and hubby spend more time in the living room. The basement is my style and the living room is his style:-)

ALMOST DONE

I'm talking about our little bar in our basement..it's almost done. It takes us a while to finish completely the basement because we didn't hire a carpenter. 90% of the work was done by my husband. Some friends and relative did help which we really appreciated. Hopefully we can finish the bar before the end of this week and too bad we can't put up some extra lighting because it came out to be very expensive. When hubby asked the guy how much it cost for him to have extra lighting, the guy told him $200+ but when hubby give the exact dimension, it went up to $500 ....wow! It's too much. We will just leave it like it is and maybe we will find a cheaper lights for the bar..

MEDITATION AND RELAXATION ACCESSORIES

One of my co-worker talks about the accessories that she’s using every time she meditates. At first, I really don’t understand what that accessories looks like. She explains to me but I’m not really familiar with it. She really wanted me to try it because she knows that I have so much stress at work. She gave me Tibetan Singing Bowls as a birthday gift. I like it, the looks, but still didn’t know what’s the significant in that bowl. She explained me again and then I tried at home. It really works. Now I understand why she really wanted me to use it. The sound of the singing bowl makes me feel so relax, very peaceful and gives me a very calming sensation in my body. This thing is very useful to those people who have stress and don’t have peace of mind. This will help rejuvenate the mind and being, giving them a feeling of joy, satisfaction and inner peace.

I want to try the Crystal Singing Bowls and Gongs too. I will buy them soon as a Christmas gift for me.

NOT RESPONSIBLE ACCIDENT

I was so shocked yesterday when hubby came here at work and wanted me to go out the resto. He wanted me to se the car. OMG! first thing that I had in my mind when I saw the car was hubby had an accident. I asked him what happen and he told me everything. He was eating his breakfast at the resto when an old woman came to him and said that she hit his car. Hubby was so lucky because the guy that saw the old woman hitting hubby's car is happen to he hubby's friend. He told the woman that the owner of the car. The woman had no choice but approach hubby.

I felt better after I heard the story. I don't mind the car. What is important is hubby's safety. It worth $4,000 repair. Insurance is paying all the damage but we will be using the car of the garage, maybe tonight for 1 week.

LUCKY MOOSE

Yes I can tell that these moose are so lucky that I'm not a hunter. As I said in my post in Through My Lens, we drove around Canton de l'Est to see take some pictures of the trees. We drove through the country road to see the beauty of Autumn.

We drove below the speed limit because we wanted to enjoy looking the beautiful trees and hoping to see a nice spot for photo. And good thing we did that because if we drove to fast, for sure we will have a big accident because these two moose cross the street.

We stopped and hubby try to stop the car behind while I'm enjoying taking picture of them. They never attack us in fact, they looked at me as if they wanted to pose for me :-) I'm too scared they might attack me...I just click click my camera without making any adjustment. I guess I didn't make the fucos right as you see them dark.

Anyway, I didn't mind what my photo look like. All I wanted is to capture them for a souvenir. They stayed in the middle of the road for almost 5 minutes. Yes they are very lucky becuause that week was the hunting week for moose. If hunters were there, I'm sure they shoot them right away.

FIRST DAY OF FALLS

I'm not so sure if today is the first day of falls or yesterday :-) All I know is it's already falls. I'm so excited now that it's already Fall season because I know that after Falls, it's WINTER - my favourite season. Most of my friends said that I'm crazy for liking winter while all of them hates it....

I'm looking forward to photograph the trees that changes colors. Quebec is one of the place that know to have a nice trees during falls. We been to the chalet two weeks ago and the trees already started to change the colours and hubby was there last weekend too. He told me that it's not yet fully change. Tomorrow, we will be going to my friend's place (in the forest). I'm so excited to see my filipina friends and take a walk in the forest. And of course, I will tag with me my camera :-)

Well I'm back from a long rest of blogging. I been too busy lately from work and some work in my flower garden. We did some outing too with hubby and friends. We been to most of the summer activities here. For the first time I've watched live concert of Elton John and Rod Steward for free. It was really a memorable experience for me.
Talking about my flower garden, I'm so proud to tell you that I have a nice flower garden :-) I will share the photo soon coz I'm using my phone just now.

FIRST DAY OF WORK

Today is the grand opening of Quiznos Sub where I work. We had two weeks of formation started last monday until the next two weeks. We are 4 that already had experience in the same resto so boss ask us to help train the new one. I'm doing the opening always starting 9:00 am to 4 pm. I love my working hours because I'm only working in the day time during weekdays and I'm off in the weekend. In this way, I can still enjoy the summer, doing barbeque every night and go out in the weekend. Boss confirm me this morning that I will do the opening always..yes!!!!! I really love my hours..

Now that I'm working, it doesn't mean I will stop blogging. I will still continue as long as I can.

That's a promise :-)

GARDENING

We just finish taking out the grass in the area where i will put another flower garden. We thought that we will not be able to do all of them tonight since it's quit big but we did it in just 20 minutes. When our neighbor saw us working in the grass, he came right away and help us. It's so nice from him doing such thing. They are very nice couple and they always look in our house every time we are away...

Back to my flower garden, I'm looking forward that hubby will finish the box so that I can start planting the flowers that I bought last weekend. I already planted 3 flowers that will attract birds and butterfly and I bought more. I will for sure share to you the photo of my flower garden as soon as it's done :-)

My boss called me yesterday to inform me that the official date of the grand opening of the resto will be this coming June 29, that means, I will start working few days before the grand opening which he also confirm to me. I'm so happy and excited that I finally start working and nervous at the same time knowing that I will be working with my boss all the time.

Just now, I'm enjoying every second of the remaining days that I will be staying home because I know that I will be working fulltime but the good thing is that, I'm not working in the weekend and night so I will have the same free time as hubby.

SO WARM

When I checked the weather forecast last night, it says rain with thunder storm today until Saturday and Sunday sunny and warm. I don't mind have rain for 4 days as long as there will be no rain on Sunday because I will be hosting a brunch party that will be held in our backyard. There will be 30 people including me and hubby that is why we wanted to held it outside.

I woke up too early this morning and clean my garden before the rain will pour. At 7:00 am, I started to cut the grass (not minding the neighbors if they were still asleep) so that it's all done before the rain. Well, I didn't see any sign of rain since this morning until now. The sun is so strong and too warm. I check the weather forecast again and voila! no rain today but tomorrow until Sunday :-( I hope this will change. I don't want to have rain this sunday. What should we do if it will rain? The patio is not enough for 30 people and we don't have much space inside the house. Well, the basement is already finish , some will stay in the basement and some will stay in the living room hehehhe

I'm still hoping to have no rain this sunday.

SUMMER ACTIVITY

Exactly 1 week from now will be the official summer season. People here are already doing some summer activities including me :-). Last weekend, we celebrated the 113th Independence Day in Philippines with the Filipino Organization here. We were so lucky that the weather cooperate us. It was so nice day and we had a chance enjoying the pedal l'eau.

I really enjoy my day.Thanks to my friend Arlene for taking me to the lake.

When I saw this guy playing guitar under the tree, I grab my camera right away but I made a mistake in the programmation of my camera and it turns out dark. It was too late when I realized it. I change right away hoping to get one nice but the canon boat arrived at the same time I click the shutter. I don't know if the composition is nice but it's one thing I'm sure of, it's the right one for my Mellow Yellow Monday entry :-) happy Monday to all!

FATHER'S DAY GIFT

We will be celebrating Father’s Day this coming weekend. I will be hosting a brunch here in our backyard with 30 people. I invited all family of my husband and all his cousins’ family. We will be celebrating their special day here with all the kids too. This will be a big party and I’m looking forward for it. I’m so afraid of the weather if it will rain or not. I hope the weather will cooperate if not, we will have the brunch inside the house. Good thing that the basement is already finish so I have enough space for 30 people. I’m sure we will be having much fun in this coming celebration. This will also serve as a reunion though we always see each other but not as a group.

I been thinking since before what could be the best gift that I can give to my husband for the Father’s Day. I think he almost have everything he wanted. Opps! I think I know what I will give to him, a bowl ticket maybe? I found some at Ticketamerica.com. Usually, we do grocery shopping weekly but I always forgot something so I have to drive to the grocery store almost everyday hehehe.

BEAUTIFUL AFTERNOON

There was a strong thunder storm early this morning. The strong thunder woke me up at 7:00 a.m. I was so scared especially when the electricity shut up. I got up right away and close all the window. I was so scared and I run to the basement. I stayed there until the thunder storm slow down. After a few minutes, the electricity came back. I was still sleepy but I was not able to sleep back. I just open the TV and watch the news just to make sure that there will be no bad weather since I was alone in the house. Hubby left for work too early so that he can finish at 3:00 pm. He's here just now, anyway.

At 9:00 am, the sun started to came out. I was so happy and relieved. I went to my flower garden to clean a little and i'm so lucky that I didn't see any worms hehehe. Sun is still strong until now and I don't see any trace of rain to pour as what they forecast for today. I hope it will not rain before 6:00 pm because I put some traitment for the weeds and it should not have water for 6 hours.

Just now, I'm enjoying here in our patio, blogging and taking cold drink :-) I have to enjoy every second of this time while I'm not yet working. Anytime this month, my boss will call me to work back.

TRAFFIC LIGHT

This is the first time I'm joining ABC WEDNESDAY. My photo for this week is T-raffic light. This was taken last February during the snow storm in our place with freezing rain. We just drove around the area to see if there were damage but thanks God that everything was okey. I had my camera with me and hubby as well. We both love taking pictures especially after the storm.

I tried checking my external HD where I keep all my photos from 2004 and luckily I found one. I took this photo (photo above) last 2007 in Ontario during our 21 days drive with our motorhome. As far as I remember, this is beaver lake in Ontario, Canada.

BLOGGING FROM MONTREAL

I know, I was so silent for few days it's not because I feel lazy to blog but we had so busy week since last weekend until yesterday. My friend was with us at home last weekend and she help me cleaning my flower garden. It was so nice last weekend so we decided to work outside. It feels so great wearing my short pants for the first time this year.

I was cleaning my tulips garden. The strong wind damage my tulips. 50% of them fall so I took the flowers and put it in my flower vase. There were lots of dandelion too so we tried to take them out. As usual, I'm so afraid of the earthworm and I didn't know that my friend is worst than me. We tried to ignore them just to finish our work but we didn't succeed. We were so afraid and we decided to stop. Hubby drove us to the ice cream bar. It's not were I use to go but it was good. The ambience is so nice and they have wifi that give them a plus factor :-)

The next day was raining so we stayed home still with my friend. We did some cleaning in the basement and we cook and cook and eat and eat :-)

After she left, I started transferring all the stuff that were in our living room and dining room that goes to the basement. We were so disappointed that the electrician cancelled his appointment 2 times. Electricity in the basement is not yet done but the heater is already installed and working.

Just now, we're here in Montreal for a visit. We will stay here for 5 days. It was raining so hard in our way here. Hubby drove halfway and I drove halfway too. The rain poured so hard when I drove the highway. I started to panic because I see nothing in the road but hubby kept on encouraging me. The rain slowed down after 1 hour until we arrived here. I hope we will have a nice weather in our stay here so that I can get nice photo.

COMFORTABLE LOUNGEWEAR

Since summer is on the way now, I started to put all my winter clothes in our cedar room. I took all my spring clothes and summer clothes in my closet. But before I file them, I tried each one of them to see if it’s still fit me. I know I gain weight but I didn’t know that I gain that much. Most of them didn’t fit me anymore. It means only one thing, SHOPPING. I’m so thankful that hubby is very understanding. I didn’t even ask him. He’s the one who told me to shop for my cloths. I’m not really a fan of online shopping before until I tried once and it really convinces me to shop online. I like it because I don’t need to drive around especially if I’m alone. I really hate to walk around the mall and shop if I’m alone which happen most of the time because hubby is at work and he only give me the money to shop. Sometimes I go with my friend but this time, she’s in Philippines for her father’s burial. So I shop online and I found this comfortable loungewear. I’m a fan of loungewear. I already have some but half of them didn’t fit me anymore. I found the one I want and I’m just waiting hubby to arrive and we will buy this comfortable loungewear online.

WORK IS WAITING

I guess I already mentioned here before that I'm no longer working since Feb 1 this year. I'm not really worried because I'm still receiving enough amount every 15 days for my unemployment insurance. I'm not thinking of working in the summer time but then my previous boss called me this morning and ask me if I'm still interested in working with him. I don't know why I said yes right away hehehe. I love my work but I don't know if we two will go along well. I didn't work with him before and I heard a lot of bad feedback of him. Well, I already said yes. I will just try and earn more money. Anyway, I knew very well my job so I don't think there is a problem...only that I can't enjoy the summer anymore.

Well goodluck to me:-) ....I might start working middle of June. This is a blessing so I have to grab it before I will loss it.

NEW COLLECTION

I just realize today that I have too much candles in the house. I just love buying different scents and styles of candles. I was hesitated of buying them before because hubby doesn’t want to have many candles in the house. We always have candle light dinner and we’re using a candle stick which is very dangerous if we leave them unattended. We love to have candle in the table when we have supper so I always check for scented candles in the glass that we can leave it in the table after we finish eating to get rid of the bad smell in the kitchen.

Since I started working, I always buy candles every time I stop by at the candle store. My candle collection is getting more and more that I don’t know where to put them. It’s just that I love looking at them and smell their scent. Next week will be my friend’s birthday. Like me, she’s collecting scented candles too. I’m thinking of buying her a scentsy candle. I’m too lazy to go around different candle store so I will buy scentsy online. It’s safe and hassle free. I’m pretty sure that she will love it and I will buy some for me too.

SAD NEWS FROM MY BROTHER

I recieved a text message from my brother asking me to call him as soon as I can. I called him right away this morning and he told me that he needs my help financially because he will undergo a gallbladder surgery this coming Sunday. It really cost him a lot and of course I will help him even though I'm not working but I can find a way to help him. I just hope that he will have a successful operation and no complication.

One thing also that make me sad is, this Sunday will be the Elidance grand show which I will so the belly dance with some other dancer. I will be dancing at the same hour of his operation. So sad :-(

Anyway, I know God is always there and help my brother during the operation. God is good.

Well, I guess most of you know what is in the picture. But for those who don't know, this is a full roof size chandelier. I was very impress when I saw this lights and so with the rest of the tourists that visited this place. Too bad, I don't have a big house where I can install this kind of chandelier :-).

I just want to give an update to our basement. All the flooring is done and the closet is done too. The electricity will be done this Wednesday. I'm so looking forward to stay in the basement especially now that summer is coming. If the weather is too warm, we will just stay in the basement because it's cool there and we don't need air condition. I will give you more updates in my next post.

MOVIE MARATHON

One of the things I miss in our basement is watching movies. That place serves as my entertainment room. I spent most of my time with my friends there. We did karaoke, watch movie or just simply having a girl talks. But since we are doing the renovation just now, I stop watching movies and karaoke. We can do it here in the living room since we have a big TV and a home theatre but I don’t want to disturb hubby if he’s watching games or news. The basement is almost done. Hubby is working in the floor just now and it will be finish today but I don’t think the TV and home theatre will be install next week. We still have to buy a new LCD TV and we are thinking of doing the TV furniture by ourselves. That means, I can’t watch movie before 3 weeks.

I heard a lot about Netflix Online DVD. Then I told myself, why not try this since I have a big screen computer in our computer room. In that way, I can’t disturb hubby if he’s watching his favourite game. I tried it last night and oh boy, it really works. I’m still using their 1 month trials and I’m pretty sure that I will subscribe Netflix because it’s very affordable and they have all the movies that I want and TV program as well. I don’t need to drive to the DVD rental store. Netflix online DVD is really the best.

It's been a while that I'm thinking of switching to FidoCity plan. IT'S COMING ON

I'm talking about our basement. Yes, it's almost done. The ceiling in the bedroom is finish and the lights. All left to do is the flooring in the basement. Tomorrow, we will try to do the ceiling in the living room and the flooring will be thursday. Hubby will work Monday to Wednesday so the flooring will be late but I can wait :-)

The color in the bedroom is little boy blue. It looks like light blue but that's what they call it "little boy blue". In the living room, I choose "wishper white" color. I want to have a light color in the wall because the basement is always dark and I wanted to have a chocolate brown furniture which will match perfectly. The accessories will be apple green :-) Oh, I can't wait to see it.

WART FREE

I had few warts in my hands and I’m trying to take it out. I bought different wart remover from the pharmacy but it’s not working. Some product reduces the warts but it came back after few weeks. What bother me most is that, they are in my hands and it’s so ugly to look at. I’m very close to give up until my friend told me about Nature Relief instant wart and mole remover. She bought one for her son and she gave the remaining to me to try. Oh boy, it really works. I’m now wart free and my hand looks good. I’m planning to buy one for my mother because she has some wart and lots of mole that she doesn’t like. Since its mother’s day, I will give it to her as my mother’s day gift. I’m sure she will be very happy of my gift.

I have to make sure that I can update all my blogs regularly and I'm sure I can do it since I'm no longer working. I have all my time to blog. INDOOR WATER FOUNTAINS

I mentioned yesterday about the wall fountain that we will install in the basement. We already found the one we want and hubby’s cousin saw it. They are also renovating their basement and she wanted to have one too but her husband is not sure about it. Their basement is much smaller than what we have and they put a big fireplace that takes most of the space in the basement. Since she really wanted it, her husband suggested to have one but it will be in their living room. I guess it’s a good idea because they stay in the living room most of the time.

The couple know nothing about computer; they ask me to find indoor water fountains for them. I started looking at it last night and I found one that will fit to their living room and the price is very affordable. I showed it to them this morning and they both like it. They told me that they will buy it as soon as possible.

I'm so happy that it's sunny today. The weather forecast yesterday was rain until tomorrow. It was cloudy when I woke up this morning at around 8:30 but it's not raining and just now, it's so sunny :-) I will go for a walk after this...oppss, I guess I have to put the bird feeder first before I will go for a walk. Birds are already coming in the backyard and there are birds also in 3 of the bird houses that hubby install last summer. If they will know that there's a food next to their house, for sure they will come back and stay their always which is good because I can photograph them and who knows, it can be a winning piece :-)

BASEMENT RENOVATION

Painting in the basement is already finish this morning. All left to do now is the flooring and decoration. We will do the flooring this weekend and then hubby will start making the furniture. Last night, we did the planning for the decoration. We’ve agreed about the bar and the TV furniture. We had a little argument about the color of the furniture but we solved it before we went to the bed. Next to the bar is suppose to be a little photo studio but the place is too small. So we decided to put a wall fountains next to the bar so that it will not be empty in that area. We started checking it online and luckily, we found one. The wall fountain that we are eyeing is very elegant and very affordable price.

I’m looking forward to see our finish basement.

It's been a while that I decided to buy a domain for this blog. Actually, I already bought a domain in this blog but unfortunately, it expires and I was not able to renew it. Godaddy kepts on sending me a notice but it's very rare that I open my hotmail. Three of my blogsite with domains were expired I didn't recover one of them. I had a big regret but it's too late. I ignore all my blogs since then until I decided to blog back. So now, I just bought a new domain for this blog :-) I'm so happy that finally I got what I wanted.

CAN'T SLEEP BACK

It's already 4:03 am and I'm still wide awake. I woke up 1:30 am for a pee and I was not able to sleep back.I tried to open the tv but I'm afraid hubby will wake up. I saw my IPod touch next to me so I decided to open my blog acount and here I am blogging hoping to get some sleep after.

We slept too soon last night. We had a very relaxing day,been to the resto for brunch and been shopping for an hour then went home. We been for a walk too then stayed home watching movies.

I guess I try to sleep now. I need to wake up soon in the morning to prepare the breakfast. Hubby's friend will be here and have breakfast with us...

GUILTY

I felt so guilty last night because I can't resist myself eating this pepperoni stick. It's my favorite snack and I can eat the whole pack alone:-). When I was hospitalize lately, the doctor told me to avoid fats especially in the night (strickly no fats at night). It's been a while now that I'm craving for this pepperoni stick and I didn't find it in all the grocery store that I been into. Just to satisfy my craving, hubby bought me a slice of pepperoni that I really don't know how come it's not the same taste for me :-) . I know it's pepperoni, the same pepperoni so it much be the same taste hehehe but I didn't taste it the same way. Maybe it's only my imagination :-)

We been to Walmart last night because they have special on memery stick, 8 gb for $10 (too bad there was nothing left when we arrived there). We went to the grocery area of walmart to pick up some milk when I accidentaly saw hundred of packs of pepperoni stick. Oh boy! I grab right away few packs because I can eat it but not at night. When we arrived home. I try myself not to touch it to avoid temptation hehehe. Hubby place everything we bought at it's own place but after a few minutes, I felt hungry hehhee. Hubby was in the basement working the floor so I found the chance to grabe 4 sticks and put it in the microwave and eat it like a child hiding so that nobody can see me eating hehehe.

Just this morning that I felt so guilty. I should not do it but it's too late (masarap kasi ang bawal)
I have to be very careful now because the doctor told me that I have 3 months to heal if I will have to take care of everything I eat and drink. I don't have problem with coffee. I'm not that maniac of the regular coffee but with my macchiato au caramel? I don't know. I'm trying not to have it. I'm always drinking tea now, infact, i have tea next to me while writting this blog.

After 3 months, if I feel better, I can drink coffee and wine but not too much and I can eat with fats too but strickly not in the night.

HAPPY AND SAD BIRTHDAY

Yesterday was my birthday and our 8th years wedding anniversary. I was a little upset in the morning because hubby took me to Tim Horton's for breakfast that usually every weekend we always go to a fancy restaurant for brunch. Yesterday was not only my special day but it's our special day too. I was expecting that he will take me to a nice restaurant for brunch but he didn't. Tim is our favorite place but I felt that it's only an ordinary day yesterday.

Early in the evening, he told me that he made a reservation in a sea food restaurant for two. Then, I felt happy that finally we will celebrate it in a nice restaurant for our special day. But I didn't know that all my friends were there and so with his cousins which happen to be my friends too.

The night was full of fun, talks, laugh, eat and drink wine. I guess I had too much wine that makes me feel a little bit tipsy. When we arrived home, I was still able to transfer all my pictures in my laptop and still have time snuggling with hubby.

We both slept at 11:00 pm and at 1:00 am, I woke up with a severe chest pain. I ignore it at first because I just thought that it's the wine that stuck there especially that I slept facing down (as what I always do). I get up and took a glass of water but it gets worst. I woke up hubby and he warm up a little glass of water hoping that the pain will gone but it didn't. The pain spreed all over my upper body include my throat. Hubby was very afraid so he drove me to the hospital. Good thing that we are very close to the hospital.

When we register in the hospital, the send me right away to the emergency room. Put the oxygen in my nose, they inserted the IV in my left arm and took blood for a couple of test. They made an echo-cardiogram test to me, x-ray and couple of ecography test.

They bring me to the emergency room at 1:30 in the morning and they kept me until 11:30 in the morning. All the test were negative except that I have so much acidity in my stomach and it affected my liver (but not that worst). So they send me home to rest with some pills to take 1 every morning for 1 month, then minimize it until 1 year.

I was really looking forward to be home because I was not able to sleep last night with all that cord thing that connected in my body. I was not comfortable in their bed and the worst is, I can't sleep with my back. I always sleep facing down. I can't even move. I'm out of danger now but I have a back pain due to the uncomfortable bed.

Well, this is it...my happy (because of the surprise party) and sad (spending the night in the emergency room) birthday :-)

SNOWSTORM & FREEZING RAIN

We had freezing rain yesterday until this morning but the worst thing is we have a very bad snow storm today. We have 60 cm of snow now from this morning up to this moment. We drove around this morning (as what we use to do every snowstorm) before heading to the resto for our breakfast. I took my big camera and took lots of pictures outside. Photo above is one of the picture I took this morning.

I hope the storm will be over before the end of the day. Our patio is already full of snow and it's hard to take it out because of the freezing rain last night. But we are not worry about the patio because it's very strong. Hubby did it by himself.

Well, this is all for now. I have to go outside and try if I can see something to picture:-)

DONE CLEANING

I just finish cleaning the house..the living room, the bathroom, the kitchen and the bedroom. It's just a light cleaning. The living room and the dining room are still full of stuff from the basement. I just took out some dust ,vacuum the floor and change the beddings. I'm so looking forward to get rid of this stuff. It really bothers me but I have no choice. There's no other place where we can put all this stuff.

I'm now relaxing, watching TV while blogging and wait for hubby to arrive home.

Yes, it's a celfone. The phone work perfectly but I can't receive a reply message from my family. The seller was very upset but I have no choice. I have to return it and cut my contract with them. Now, I had my new phone with another provider.

HEALTHY FOOD

I been eating bad foods this past few weeks. I'm not eating good breakfast from tuesday to friday because my course is starting 8:00 am and I need to leave from home 7:00 am because of the heavy traffic. I wake up 6:30 am and prepare myself. So I don't have much time to eat my breakfast. All I have is a smoothies with protein. And then after my course I'm so hungry to death and that will cause my headache. So to prevent having headaches I have to eat but because I finish 10:00 am, the canteen is still close. I always have chocolate in my bag so I can have it everytime I feel hungry to avoid headache. I know chocolates are not good for my health but that's the only way I know to have something in my stomach. Sometimes, I go to the mall after my course but again, I'm not eating good foods there. I can feel that I'm gaining a lot of

weight now and honestly, I'm so worried about it. I know that it's only me that can help myself so I'm trying my best to control my food intake. Yesterday night, I started cooking chicken with veggies without rice. I know it's good for me and for hubby too. This morning, we drove 1 hour just to have brunch. I felt guilty to myself. I took western omelette but that's all I got, no dessert and just milk in my coffee (I always put 2 cream in my coffee).

Then tonight, my friend visited me and we decided to have fish for supper. Photos above were our supper a while ago with cantalope as our dessert. I guess it's good enough for my health.

BELLY DANCING

It's been a while now since I started the belly dancing course. I do like it but my body is not really participating :-) but I didn't give up and I will never be. I love doing it and I'm enjoying it so much. I just got back from the course and it's getting to the end now. I mean, we almost finish the choreography. Too bad that 3 of the dancers will not join in the big show this coming May 21 but the show will still go on even without them.

I will shop for my veil tomorrow. I'm using the veil of my professor since the beginning (shame on me hehehe). Still I know what color I have to buy because I have 4 complete costumes with different colors, they are green, blue, red and black with different colors of stones in it. I have to think of color that will match with the 4 colors. I'm so excited now.

BASEMENT WORK

Hubby and the carpenter are working in our basement just now. They are doing a lot and an electrician will come in a few minutes to do the electrical work. There's still lots to do but they are moving forward and I'm so excited to see the result. Our basement will be a multifunctional room. It will be a photo studio, entertainment and bar. I'm really looking forward to be in my basement. Hopefully, we will finish it at spring time.

Digital Scrapbooking was my passion before. But it was stop because time didn't gave me the change to do it. I was too busy with my work and facebooking takes more of my spare time. I was browsing my photos in my backup HD and I found all my digiscrap that I made before. My interest came back and I did 3 digiscrap already in 2 days. I did one for my niece that became the Lady of the night. I thought I already forgot how to do it but I didn't. The result was quite good :-)

GOODBYE EYEGLASSES

I had my eye check up this morning and I'm so happy with the result. I started wearing eyeglasses when I was still in high school but I didn't wear it always because it really bothers me. Then I changed it many time and the last time I change was last 2006 here in Canada. I used it for for a year then I stopped wearing it for the same reason. Hubby always get mad at me if he saw me not wearing it. I use it sometimes especially if I'm working in my computer. And I notice that my eyes is always red every time I'm wearing my glasses. So I decided to see the specialist and we did it this morning. He's very smart and he did a lot of test. The result? My eyes are very good. He was surprise why I was wearing glasses and the worst is, everytime I'm wearing the eyeglasses, I'm forcing my eyes that's why it gets red. He recommended not to wear them again even if I'm working in the computer. I'm so so happy coz I really hate eyeglasses :-)

FRENCH COURSE

Well, well, well, I'm back now to the world of blogging. I know I made lots of promises but I was not able to fulfill it. I'm sorry again. What else I could say? Maybe I owe all of you and explanation. I was so busy with my work before. I don't even have time to cook for our supper everytime I arrived home. Sometimes hubby will prepare something but most of the time, we drove to the nearest resto and had our supper there. I feel to complain the situation but I didn't because we both work and it's a big blessing for the two of us. If we have spare time, we always hangout together because it's very rare since we both work that we can go out and take vacation. But everything change since last week. My boss decided to close the resto where I work and that means I'm jobless now. Yes I am. But I'm not worried at all because I am already qualified for the unemployment pay. For sure I'm not getting more than what I got from my salary but I can have all my time taking care the house, cook for hubby and improve my french :-) . I enrolled yesterday to a french course. It's just an update of my french and the good thing is, they will not cut my unemployment pay. I thought being jobless makes my life miserable but I was wrong. I'm happy just now, stress-free and had the opportunity to improve my french especially in writting.

WORKING WITH MY HUBBY

Here I am again! I know that I been quite for a while due to some important work to do. I'm not talking about my work; I'm talking about hubby's job. He's working to a certain company as a machine and piping designer. The good thing in this job is he's working at home. He only goes to the office once every 2 weeks. He can do his job anytime he wants as long as he will finish it on time. We had good weather in the past few weeks. We took that opportunity to clean outside and prepare everything for summer. We did some short distance trip too and because of that, he missed a lot of time for his job. He was asking me if I could help him. Of course I can’t say no because I’m one of the reason also why he delayed his work. We finish the last drawing a while ago and ready to pass tomorrow. I’m so happy that I did something for him. It was really a big help for him.

Now, I’m done with his project so it’s time for me to do mine. I’m looking for language translation service for my friend. She’s doing some research and she really needs it.

TREATING MYSELF

I'm trying to lose 20 lbs before our big show for the belly dancing class but I don't think I can make it. The show will be this coming May 22 and it's too late now. I know I can lose 20 lbs but not that soon. I'm still doing my best to lose even a few pounds. I'm doing cardio everyday and do earobics 3 times a week. I'm trying to avoid fats and sweets too but last weekend we been to the resto as we use to do every weekend. Two weeks in a row, I'm only eating whole wheat bread toasted and peanut butter with coffee in the resto but last weekend, I want to treat myself because I can't resist when I saw the menu. I ordered waffle with variety of fruits. Just the two together is not bad at all but with the cream and the chocolate syrups, it has more calories and the sweets is not helping me to lose extra pounds. Well, I been eating low carbs and no sweets for two weeks and I guess I deserve this delicious food.

I just arrived from the gym and I feel too sticky :-) I have to go now and take my show...

AT WORK

I arrived too early at work this morning. I decided to go early because I want to relax before the start of work. We have wifi at work so even if I'm working, I can check my email and facebooking as long as I have time. We were quite busy at work today but still I was able to work properly. I like my work now even if I don't have enough time but there's always good side in it like I will enjoy my summer especially that I'm off early in the afternoon so we can do bbq every night and spend more time in our patio. I'm off in the weekend also we can easily plan for a weekend trip and I can ask 1 week off anytime I want. But this afternoon, I found a very interesting job and it's a full time job with 40 hours per week. As usual, there's good side and bad side on it. The good side is, I will earn more money and it's too close to our house. And the bad side is, I will not have a weekend off and we can't plan for a weekend trip. I still pass my resume this afternoon and I don't have any response yet. Just now, I regret why I give my resume. I don't know, but I really had a regret. If they will not accept me, I don't mind hehehe. Will, I will just wait.

BELLY DANCING

It's been two weeks that I didn't attend my belly dancing class because our instructor had an operation in her neck that I really don't know exactly what it was. Two weeks that she was not there so I didn't go there though somebody replaced her.

Tonight, I been there and we practice so hard in preperation for our show this coming May 22. I'm so excited on that said show. It's my first time to be in that big show. May is the busiest month for us the belly dancers. We will have 2 days pictorials and dinner with the groups. So excited:-)

NO UPDATES

It's almost two months now that I'm not updating in any of my blogs. Busy and lazy are not the reason why I'm not updating them. I was discourage and disappointed because Mr. G banned my adsense. The reason they said is because of illegal clicks. I know this is the main reason why they ban you and I know it very well. I got paid already for how many times and why should I click my own adsense? I'm not really mad at Mr. G because they are just doing their job. I'm pretty sure that one of my friends or hubby's family did it accidentally using my IP. They ask me to appeal but I lost my interest anymore. Maybe I will do it one day.

I been thinking of ignoring my blogs but I realized that it's not a good idea and I have to move on, continue updating and be conected again to my fellow bloggers.

Now I'm back and I hope this will continue...

We don't have much snowstorm this winter. As I remember, we only have 1 big storm and I guess 3 little snow storm. You may think that I'm weird if I will tell you that I love snow storm. Yes, it's true. I don't know why but I really love if there is a big snow storm. But this winter, we don't have that much. The previous snow storm, I was at work so I didn't enjoy it. And just now, I will go work in a few minutes so still I will not enjoy it. Hubby and I use to go out if there is a snowstorm. We drove around and see what's happening in our area. Sometime, I just stay outside the house enjoying every snowflakes that fall. And hot chocolate is perfect if the weather is cold and I love doing it, have it in front of the window watching the snow falls :-). I will only work 3 hours today, and I hope I still have time enjoying the snow storm.

Hubby and I love to shop online since we don’t need to drive in the heavy traffic especially in Christmas time. We hate traffic and we hate crowded places. With online shopping, you will only stay home open your computer and voila, you got what you want and with online shopping, we don’t need to go back and forth from one store to another to compare the price. . It’s very important to check which store has a better price so that we can save our money and we can use it in another thing. We tried online shopping and it’s really cool and with the help of price comparison, it helps our shopping online easier. We were able to get a very good price much cheaper that in the department store. We were very happy so we decided to buy our stuffs and gadgets online.

I’m looking for laptops online for my gifts to hubby for our 7^th year wedding anniversary next month. I found a very affordable one with good quality. I’m pretty sure that he will like it since he’s dreaming of having a new one. These laptops is not included in my budget just now but I can find ways to have it before next month because I got a very good deal on it and besides from that, I know hubby will give me more that what I will give to him. I was asking him another LCD TV for our basement where my entertainment room is. I have already but it’s not as big as what we have in our living room. I want to have a big one. He’s already looking tvs online and I hope he will buy one for me.

We been to the clinic this morning for our regular check up. The doctor congratulates hubby because all the results of his test were all very good. The sugar, cholesterol, the kidney, the heart..were all normal and he lose 8 lbs in 6 months. I'm so happy for him but I'm not happy for myself because I gain a lot. I'm not surprise because I eat bad foods this past few months. I eat a lot of sweets and fats. I'm really disappointed but I have nothing to blame of expect myself. I told hubby and to myself as well that I really have to avoid sweets and fats. I will do my best to eat good foods. My only problem now is at work. I can't eat at the right time and I know that it's not helping me at all. But still I will try to eat healthy foods and do excercise at the same time because I don't have more hours at work.

VIRUS ATTACK

I'm so sad because my computer is attack with virus. I guess I got that virus from the site that I use to watch tv shows from Philippines. I had a good antivirus but I didn't notice that my contract is up to the end and my laptop is no longer protected. Now, I can't open it anymore. But I was so lucky because I did a back up of all my photos and songs in my external hard drive on the night before my computer was attack. I'm not worried at all. It's just that I feel bad using my old laptop because it's slow. I'm so happy that I got this external hard drive. I remember when the mother board of my old laptop was broken, I cried for almost two months because I lost 50% of my pictures but now, what I'm worried of is when I will have my laptop back.

CHICKEN LEG WITH MALUNGGAY

I was visiting my friend's appartment 3 weeks ago and they had malunggay as their dinner. Oh my, I ate almost all the soup. I really love it and I missed it so much. I use to ate malunggay in Philippines and it's really good for the health. I ask my friend to buy me some if she will go to Montreal. She brought be 3 pack of malunggay and I cooked one pack tonight. Too bad hubby is not here. I'm sure he will love this too. I ate a lot tonight and I still have some left for tomorrow.

HAITI TRAGEDY

I'm sure that everybody knew what happen to Haiti recenty. Thousand of thousand of Haitian suffered due to the earthquake. I really feel sad everytime I see those people suffering especially the kids. One of the victims is the brother of hubby's best friend that use to be our friend too. He flew to Haiti for work and he arrived there 2 hours before the earthquake. He and his girlfriend will stay in Montana Hotel and we think that there were still in the hotel reception during the tragedy. Until now, we didn't hear from them. The Canadian military troups are still looking for them. We're still hoping and praying that they are still alive.

One of the survivor from US had an interview and she was in the hotel montana and she said that there were still 6 persons in the reception that are still alive. I hope that our friend is one of them. Pls pray for them...

THROUGH MY LENS

My new blogsite is finally working. If you remember, I posted here that my Gagiers Photography is no longer working. I didn't renew my domain because I want to change it to Photoblog which is the "THROUGH MY LENS". I really had the hard time looking for a better title but nothing came to my mind. Through my lens is hubby's idea which is acceptable to me. So I used it as the title and I started to make the site. It takes me a while to finish it because of my work. Everything in my work went so fast. I just started last Oct 19, 2009 and boss put me in the higher level. I really didn't expect that I will get that position that fast. I put most of my time in my work and almost no time to update my blogs. Last week, I was thinking of finishing my photoblog so that I can introduce to you soon.

I finally send back my phone to Koodo this morning and I have no problem in returning it. We made some test from Fido and my sister in Philippines and Saudi Arabia got the text messages from Fido and they were able to reply it. So, I have to switch to fido. As of now, I have no celfone but I will probably have it tomorrow. I'm so excited to have my celfone.

Yes, I already decided to cut my telephone line tomorrow. I should have done it today but I was working from 10:30 am to closing time. I didn't have time to go to the mall and give back the phone. I still have time to send it back until Jan 9. I already deleted all the contact numbers and photos from the phone. The only payment I have to do is the 10 days of using the phone. I hope everything will go fine tomorrow and I switch to Fido I guess. Well, goodluck to me:-)

DISAPPOINTED WITH MY PHONE

I changed my telephone provider last Dec 29 because my previous phone provider is getting more expensive. So I decided to change to other company which they said that it's cheaper and the coverage is good. I grabed it becuase of the unlimited international text and there's no cotract which means I can easily quit from them anytime I want. Everything goes fine with my phone. I texted my family and friends in Philippines and they recieved all my text but they replied in my roaming number. Now, the problem is my two sisters send me sms to my new phone and I didn't received any one of the text. I thought there was a problem with my phone so I went back to the store and told them what happen. They called the costumer service and I called as well. They told me that there is no problem in my phone. The problem is probably the telephone company in Philippines and in Saudi Arabia. Oh my! I can't believed it. Don't tell me that all the country all over the world has the same problem? I texted my friends in other country and same thing happen. I didn't received any text messages from them. I'm so fade up and I decided to cut my account and go back to my previous provider and pay more. It's better than paying cheap with a cheap service.

It was snowing this afternoon and I thought that was it but it only takes less than 5 minutes and it stop. It was a heavy snow fall but now it's all gone. I'm so upset because I want the snow now:-( The forcast for next week will be 30 cm of snow. Wow! that would be nice..looking forward to have snow falls next week.

NOT FEELING WELL

No, it's not me who's not feeling well but it's hubby. It's been 3 days now that he's not feeling well. I'm sure it's not H1N1 virus coz he had H1N1 vaccine 3 weeks ago. He don't have flu nor colds but his fever is on and off and he always had stomach cramps. I'm worried about his condition just now but he don't want to go to the hospital. He always tell me that he will be okey. Anyway, his not staying in the bed..he was out this morning and afternoon to see some friends but just taking of his fever and stomach cramps makes me really worried. Just now, he's watching tv and I'm hoping that he will be okey tomorrow.

My friend ask me to make a photo slideshow. Everything was ready but when I was about to burn it to the disk, my computer did not detect the burner and not even read any disk. I was really worried so we went back to futureshop where we bought my laptop this afternoon and good thing that it's still under warranty. They have to change the burner and nake a check-up on my computer. They said it will take 8 to 14 days to have it done. Oh my! I will really miss it. Good that I still have my other laptop and this is what I'm using just now but I don't have my photos in this laptop and most of my software that I'm always using are all in my other laptop.Too bad but I have nothing to do with it. I will just wait to have it done.

CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR

Advance Merry Christmas everyone. It's already December 01 in Philippines and other countries just now. I'm pretty sure that christmas lights and decors were already seen anywhere. This is one of the things that I really miss in Philippines. We can hear christmas songs from mid september to mid January or even Febuary. But here, most of the people started to decorate december first or even mid december. I'm already known here to be the first one to put christmas lights and decors in the neighborhood. I always start putting up my christmas decors after the first snow fall. But this year, the snow is very late. I finished decorating Nov 22 but the snow just started last night and it was not a big snow falls but it's enough to cover the ground but they were all melted at the end of the afternoon.

Anyway, our house is already ready for christmas and I am too. Oh! I still have to buy some gifts. I already have the lists of gifts to buy so I don't think it will take time for me to shop.

Just now, I'm still enjoying my work and more orders of lumpiang shanghai coming in. My work and my little business took most of my time as this moment.

MOVING ON

As usual, I was not able to do some updates here as I promise. Games from FB were taking all my times after work. I always open my FB account no matter how tired I am after work. It’s like that it’s already part of my daily routine. The earliest time I start working is 9:30 in the morning and I always wake up 7:30 so that I still have time to do some games. I’m so lucky that my work is only 3 minutes drive from home. Hubby always drops me to work 5 minutes before my starting time.

Well, talking about my work, boss already gave me more hours. I can do the preparation now and take orders from the costumers. Boss was very happy knowing that I can do anything now from taking orders to cashier. 11:30 am to 1:00 pm is the peak hours and after those hours is very tranquil. Boss doesn’t need two or more workers after peak hours. The first few weeks I was working there, he told me that he wants to give me more hours but he can’t because he can’t leave me alone in the afternoon. But now, I can work alone in the afternoon while he’s in his office. I’m working 5 days a week now and weekend is always my off. He gave the weekend to the students. And to tell you, I’m the only worker that is not student he he he. All my co-workers are all students that’s why boss wants to keep me.

Few more weeks of work and I will have my new dslr camera :-)

HEADING TO....

Good morning everyone. As I promise, I'm trying my best to update my blogs regularly. Just want to write something here before heading to work. I will start at 10:30 this morning and finish 1:30 this afternoon. I don't have more hours every tuesday because I told my boss that I'm not available every tuesday night from 7 pm because of my bellydancing class. Instead of taking a day off every tuesday, he give me few hours because all the workers are all student. It's better this way at least I have my weekend off. But the last two weeks, I worked saturday night from 4pm to 8:25 our closing time. I like working in saturday night because it's very tranquille. It's not busy and we can finish cleaning before 8pm. Instead of finishing 8:25pm, we always finish 8Pm but we still get paid the remaining 25 mins because the 25 minutes is the cleaning time after the closing. But becuase there's always no costumer at night, so we can spend our time cleaning the store and go home 25 minutes earlier :-)

I have to get ready now and expect my new updates in my other blogs this afternoon.

I MISS BLOGGING

It's been a while that I didn't update my blogs. I'm no longer a fulltime housewife. I can't spend most of my time in my laptop as before due to my work. It's already two weeks gone since I started my work and my boss gave me more hours. It's not really my plan to work fulltime but I started to love my work and found more friends. And the most important is I practice my french while earning money :-) I want to save most of my salary because I'm thinking of taking a photography course. It's been a while that I'm thinking of this but I'm not satisfied with my french. My co-workers are all nice and they always correct my french and it really helps me. I started to gain confidence in talking french to the Quebecers (Quebecois) and I'm sure I can speak french fluently before the end of this year he he he.

I'm not working today and yesterday. We had a very nice and sunny day yesterday and today. We took advantage of the nice weather. We finished the Christmas lights outside and I spend a whole day cleaning our computer room and just now, I'm babysetting the daughter of my friend. She's working tonight until midnight and she was not able to find somebody to babysit for the night. I picked up her baby at the daycare at 4 pm and she still here until 8:45 pm. The auntie of the baby will pick her up after work.

This is all for now guys. The baby wants me to play with her...I will really try my best to blog tomorrow after work or after my bellydancing class.

FIRST DAY OF WORK

As I said in my previous post, I'm starting my new work today. It was this morning up to 1:00 pm. So far, my job is not bad at all. It's not yet complicated for now since I'm still a trainée. But before I left my work, my boss told me that he like my performance and he gave me more hours for this week. Oh my, I'm so happy that my boss like my performance and I got more hours which means more money for me :-) and aside from that, orders of lumpia are still coming in. I'm really happy and I'm hoping that I will stay longer in my work.

That's all for now...I still have to wake up soon tomorrow for my work.

SOON TO BE A BRIDE

My very best friend will be getting married soon next month in Romania. She’s inviting us to be in her wedding but it is very impossible for me since I’m not yet a Canadian citizen. I need to have a visitor’s visa or tourist visa to enter Romania. We decided to give her a present. We paid the invitation cards for her and still planning to give her the save the date cards. I was thinking of doing it by myself to have a personalize card but I don’t think I can do it before she will go back to Romania. I just started my job today and I don’t have time anymore to do some but thanks to 123print.com because they save my time. They can do the save the date cards for me in a very affordable price. My friend will have the cards before she will go back to Romania. By the way, these cards will be my surprise to her. I’m sure, she will be very happy and I am too.

NEW JOB

My day start with a good news. It was 9:00 in the morning when I woke up with the ring of the telephone. The call was for me asking me if I will want the job that I applied 2 weeks ago. Without hesitation, I said yes. Then she gave me an appointment at 11:00 in the same morning. I was so nervous yet excited. Nervous because the interview will be in french and excited because if I will get this job, this will be a good opportunity for me to practise my french.

The interview didn't take long and after a few minutes, he gave me my schedule for next week. He gave me 6.5 hours only for next week because I'm still a trainée. If everything will work fine, then he will give me more hours. Just now, 6.5 hours is enough for me. I still have more time to do my lumpia and more time to go around with hubby. All I want for this work is to practise my french and have more friends.

I can't stop myself feeling nervous every time I think of this job. To think that I'm dealing with french speaking clients, I have to make french perfect. Oh my! I hope I will succeed with this job.

Renovating the house is one of the things that I asked from my hubby. I wanted to have a bigger living room and fortunately, he did it for me. INSOMNIA

Insomnia is attacking me in this past few weeks. I have a hard time sleeping at night and wake up too early in the morning. It really bothers me and it affect my mood. Good thing that I can control my temper, if not, I'm sure I will be a nagger to hubby.

My friend told me to take a warm bath at night and I did it many times but it doesn't change anything. Last night was the worst night I ever had. I slept 3:30 in the morning and work up 7:00 in the morning. I tried to stay in the bed for a while but I can't sleep back. I really don't know what to do. I tried different tricks that I've search in the internet but nothing succeed. I will try another trick tonight. I hope this will work this time.

POOR MON MARI (my husband)

I had my french course this morning at 9:00 and we woke up very late. It was already 8:45 when we woke up and I still have to prepare myself and took my breakfast. But sad to say that I was not able to do any of them. I was not able to wash my face. I just change my cloths and went straight to the car. We stop at mcdonald and bought a cup of coffee and muffin. Hubby was in a hurry so that I can catch up my class. Unluckily, the police stop us becuse hubby was driving 50 km/h in a 30 km/hr zone. We don't have any choice but pay what is need to be paid.

I feel pity to hubby. Anyway, that's all I can share to you today, the bad luck that happen to us :-)

BACK TO BLOGGING

I don't know how to start this post but I will try my best to have one. I was inactive for a while because of a very stupid reason. I been trying to many times to make an entry but my mind was not working. I was very distracted with my farms in Facebook. I spend most of my time in that game and not even doing some house chores. I’m not really proud of myself. I’m getting crazy with that game. And now, I’m trying to minimize my time in my so called farm and concentrate in my blog.

Lots of things happen to me in the past few weeks. Some were good and some were not that good but not that bad too. I’m already in my third week of my belly dancing class. The first day was not exciting. When I saw the instructor, I felt disappointed because she is very fat he he he. But when she dance, oh my! Her body is very flexible. I like my belly dancing course now. I’m looking forward for our final show he he he.

I’m back with my French language course too. It’s really a need for us here to speak French fluently to have a nice job. I don’t really like that much but I have no choice. It’s only 1 day per week, so it’s not that bad at all.

We’re always away from home every weekend. And hopefully, I can share to you the photo of our weekend trip soon. I will not promise but I will try.

LONESOME

It's exactly one month today since I came back from my vacation in Philippines. I don't know why but I feel lonesome since I woke up this morning until now. I tried to make myself busy but I can't stop my tears falling. Good thing that hubby is always here to comfort me. He drove me to my favorite place...I felt better when I saw the water flowing the river. Water is really a therapy for me. Everytime I have problems or miss my family, I always go to the river next to our home, sat under the tree facing the water.. And most of the time, we drove along the river everytime we feel for a ride.

My life today is like the photo above. It's dark but I see the light through my hubby's presence. I'm so thankful to my hubby for he always understand me and always there for me.

IT DRIVES ME CRAZY

I'm sure you ask yourself what drives me crazy...hehehehe...it's the Farm Town on Facebook that drives me crazy. It's been a while that I join farm town game but I didn't visited it, not even taking care of it. Most of my friends are talking about how they take care of their farm, how much money they have and what they have in their farm. Everytime they talked about their farm, I felt shy because I have nothing to share with them. My farm was empty. So lately, I decided to learn how take care of my farm..how to make money. I started to visit my friends farm and did some work so that I will get enough money to buy seed and flowers for my farm. Well, my farm now is getting bigger and bigger. I mean, I already harvested some fruits and vegetables and i planted some flowers too. I spend most of my time now in my farm checking if i have vegetable or fruits that are ready to harvest. I'm checking them from time to time because some of them will be ready for harvest in 4 hours.

If you own a farm town, please invite me so that I will have more neighbors so that I will earn more money :-)

I remember the first week I arrived here in Quebec; hubby had a dial-up connection of internet. I want to talk to my family in Philippines through internet but it was really bad. The connection was very slow. I can’t open my webcam and not even them. Because of that very slow connection, we paid a lot of the telephone bill because I always call my family using our landline phone. After a year of suffering that very slow internet connection, we both decided to change our internet company. We took a bundle of high-speed internet, cable and telephone. Since then, I talk to my family regularly though chat with webcam. Dial-up and high-speed internet connection makes a very big different. I can upload and download very quickly. I don’t need to wait for how many hours before I finish my download and upload.

I’m talking about my experience of using dial-up internet connection and high speed internet connection because I was surfing in the net last night and I saw Wild Blue Satellite Internet. I was so amazed how fast their internet connection and how affordable the price is. I remember my friend having problem with her internet connection. I told her to check the wild blue reviews to have more information. I’m pretty sure that she will switch to wildblue satellite internet.

LES FÊTES DE LA NOUVELLE FRANCE 2009

Last Aug 9 was the last day of "LES FÊTES DE LA NOUVELLE FRANCE" and that's the day after I arrived here from my vacation in Philippines. I was very happy that I was able to attend this festival since I never miss one since I arrived in Canada 6 years ago.

It's always been my dream to have a dress like them but it's too expensive that I can't afford to have one. Since I was in Philippines, I asked the dressmaker that I know to make one for me. I show her the photo I took before as a sample and she did it very well.

FINALLY, I'M HOME

I'm so thankful that I arrived here in Quebec safely. Hubby picked me up at Quebec Airport last August 8 at 10:30 in the morning. I was so happy when I saw hubby waiting for me at the waiting area. I missed him so much and I missed our home. I didn't have good sleep during the trip so when we arrive home, I slept for 3 hours and then hubby woke me up at 5 in the afternoon. He treat me for dinner and we went to see the jazz festival. I really had a hard time sleeping at night because of the change of time. I stayed awake until 3:00 in the morning. I didn't feel to do anything.

I woke up 7:00 in the morning the next day. We went to Quebec City for the Nouvelle France Festival. I was so lucky because that was the last day of the festival. I never miss this festival since I arrived here. The weather was so nice and we really enjoy that day. Hubby took lots of photo of me with my nouvelle france costume he he he. I will share to you the photos next time because they are still at my hubby's computer.

Oh by the way, I owe you a lot of my photo during my vacation as I promised. I'm really sorry guys because until now, I'm not finish cleaning the photos. I have a lot and I need to delete some of them. I don't have much time to do it this days because we are too busy. We just arrive from our 3 days trip to New Brunswick and more trips before the summer will end. Hopefully, I can finish my photos this week.

Yes, I'm here in Hongkong airport. I just arrive a while ago. I arrived in gate 64 and my next flight is in gate 1. Oh my, I walk 1 kilometers or maybe more. Good that I have 3 hours my next flight. I almost run because I want to be in gate 1 so that I can open my computer. And here I am! I just want to let you know that I'm going back to Canada and be with my husband. I miss him a lot but leaving my family in Philippines is really hard too. I started missing them already especially the little kids. For now, I don't have any plan yet of visiting them.

Well, that all for now. I will post lots of photos as soon as I will arrive in Quebec.

BLOGGING FROM PHILIPPINES

Hi guys! I'm really really sorry for not updating all my blogs. I'm here in Philippines now with my family. Actually, I arreived here June 19 and we flew to CDO the next day. Not updating my blogs is not the fault of the internet connect. It's my fault. I'm too busy visiting my friends and relatives, party here and party there and I didn't give time to update my blogs. I feel very guilty now so I decided to do it at least twice a week.

Anyway, my stay here is very memorable. We had our Mega EB with my bolanon.com family last June 27 and it was really great. I'm so happy that I finally meet them in person. Two days after the mega eb, one of the member invited us to have dinner in her house after their town fiesta. I ate a lot and I'm not ashame to tell you that I'm gaining a lot lot lot. I really missed Pilipino foods and I can't stop myself eating them all. We will have another gathering tonight, that means, more Pilipino foods again and I ordered sea foods.

We took a lot of photos and I will post it here sometime or maybe when I will come back in Canada. I still have 42 days of stay here and I will make sure that this 42 days will be more memorable for me.

I don't feel better today. I don't know why. Maybe it's because it's raining just now..not a heavy rain, it's only a little shower but there's no sun. It's so cloudy and it make me feel so weak. I'm still with my pajama just now, watching movie in the living room. I don't feel to do anything. I took me a while to decide if I will blog or not he he he. But here I am, doing some update.

I was surfing in the net about skin care and I found this article which is very interesting. You can make your own beauty product by using some stuff that you might have in your kitchen. I just want to share to you the ingredients and I will do it after this post.

Face mask
Mix 1 egg yolk with 2 tsps almond oil and 1 mashed banana. Apply all over your face, avoiding the eye area, and relax for 10 minutes. Wash off with tepid water.

Cucumber eye mask
Mix 1 tsp dried milk powder with 1 tsp cucumber juice. Apply to your eye area and relax for 10 minutes. Wipe off with damp cotton wool.

I'm so excited now for my vacation. Ten days more to go and I'm flying for Philippines. I already took my appointment for the vaccination (anti-flu). If I will be the one to decide, I don't want to have that vaccination. I already had one last winter and I guess I'm okey with that. But my sister is pushing me to have that anti-flu vaccine because she's afraid of the swine flu. Anyway, I will have it this week. I don't know the details yet but hubby already got the appointment. He will tell me tonight the details.

My luggage is already ready. I already prepared all the stuff that I need to bring like medicines, toiletries and some other stuff. I'm ready now to go:-)
